Default How to turn down Vietnamese food?

I'm an EXTREMELY fussy eater.
I wont eat most vegetables (except for lettuce, tomato, potato), animals that still look like animals or anything from the inside of an animal (brain, eyes, guts).
In a few months, I'm going to Vietnam with a few people, and wondered how I can get around this?
I know it's very disrespectful to not eat what you're given, especially in such a poor country, but if I eat any of the things listed, I throw up!
What can I do?
Uhm it's like, world's third poorest country. So it's no racist; it's fact.

come to visit vietnam my country . Vietnam is not poor as you think . Vietnamese are friendly and honestly . If you can't eat vietnamese foods or animal meat you can find a vegetarian or a western restaurant . Don't worry

I'm not Vietnamese but I think the best way to approach it is to explain to your travelling partners how you really are prior to the trip. Say it nicely, be very polite, don't raise your voice or lose your cool. Let your travelling partners (if their Vietnamese) to tell the others so that you won't have an embarassing encounter. Vietnamese people are very nice & will accomodate your wishes. Tell them that you would prefer to eat in a nice restaurant where you can control the ordering to your specification. They have very nice & decent Vietnamese, French (they colonized Vietnam at one point), Chinese & other International restaurants over there.

Take it from a traveller who had to say it nicely when the Chinese offered me a delicacy of Chicken Feet, the French with their Escargot (snails), Filipino's with their Balut (unborn chick in egg), Mexican's with their Menudo (intestine stew), Germans with their Blood Sausages, the Scottish with their Haggis, British with their eel etc... They all want to see your reaction!!!!

Have fun & enjoy the moment. Don't be too critical but look at the beauty of things when travelling.
