My daughter-in-law feeds and waters the crap out of a plant in their yard and it is really big and dense. RIght now it is loaded with peppers, but they are still green. It will be the source of my pepper sauce. PEPPERS, VINEGAR, SALT!! IN THAT ORDER!! NOTHING ELSE!! Don |

I bought a couple yesterday. One for my sister and one for me. They are a bit pricey at $4.00 each, but I'd never seen the purple ones before. :-) They are currently blooming and producing fruit too. The huge wile pequin bush I've had in my back yard for several years now finally died this past summer. :-( -- Peace! The ones we buy at the Thai/Asian mkts come pakgd the same way as you said. If Jun goes downtown to the wholesale Thai mkt, she can buy all red, but they come in a big bag, like the dried red ones. You can grow them in a pot. -- Nick, KI6VAV. Support severely wounded and disabled Veterans and their families: [Only registered users can see links. ] Thank a Veteran! | > On Mon, 2 Nov 2009 18:24:10 -0600, Sqwertz <swe...@cluemail.compost> That does sound like a good price--much better price than a bottle with a cowboy hat on it from a Texas souvenir store (which I will buy as gifts to bring overseas but have never tried). I haven't tried Tropical Pepper Company either. Just out of curiousity Steve, do you buy their Xtra Hot Habanero Sauce, the Xxtra Hot, the Xxxtra Hot, or the Xxxxtra Hot? I wonder if the Xxxxtra Hot one has any problems spontaneously combusting or melting the glass bottle down before you get to try it. |
