The show "Salad Fingers" freak anyone else out? Plus, what is it directed at?

I've seen the first 6 episodes and to me they seem fairly disturbing. Do these little shows seem that way to you to? And also, isnt Salad Fingers supposed a mentally diseased person? Were these shows ment to be funny? What was the point of drawing them? What exactly is wrong with Salad fingers? Can someone please tell mee??

I love Salad Fingers, but admittedly I can't watch after 6 PM whilst no living person is nearby. It's creepy, true. I forget if he is meant to be mentally challenged or mentally diseased, but I think diseased. It is meant to be a bit funny, probaly aimed at those with a macabre or gorey sense of humor or such tastes. (Like ME! ^_^)
