Default A Negroamaro red wine of 2005 produced in Italy is still good to drink?

or is it expired? Is it like a dying wine....?
i's a 12 litr 12.5% dinner wine nothing special

Italian red wine has no expiration. So it should be still good provided that the bottle had a good cork and it was not stored in a hot place. But you can immediately recognize if the wine is still good. Open the bottle and look at the cork.
You can a have a real cork and if it is not dark and if the bottom is little larger than the top, the wine is fine. Pour it in a glass, it should have a dark rubin color.
If it has a synthetic cork it should have preserved the wine pretty well.
In any case you can consider your wine still "young"..
