Is cake pastry filling the same as pie filling ?

 Is cake pastry filling the same as pie filling ? I am making a Polish/Czech cookie that calls for a raspberry cake pastry filling. All I can get at our grocery store is a pie filling. Can I use that, or will I need to alter the pie filling ?  |
