Does anybdy have a recipe for apples wrapped with pastry?

 Does anybdy have a recipe for apples wrapped with pastry? My fiance' has been trying to describe this apple treat he had. Here it goes. he said that it's a medium size apple that has been cored and peeled. Then a pastry dough is wrapped around it and a cinnamon stick is put in while it bakes..Now, I can bake I can't seen to nail the concept without burning the pastry. Anybody, somebody? Help  |

| Try Puffy pastry slice apple and place into the middle and around, make sure the sides cover some of the apples, add cinnamon and an a egg wash on the puffy pasty part, (egg and water) cook until lighty brown |
