Default can you cook puff pastry without an oven? would it cook properly in a big pot...

...with the lid on? i know pastry has to be cooked in an oven, but i don't have one in my new apartment yet. I really want to make a roulade with puff pastry filled with pre-cooked ingredients (ie tinned tuna, tomato, etc) and was wondering would it work out if I put it in a big pot for cooking pasta and covered it?
