Any suggestions?

I started bulk cooking a month or two ago, and so far I think it’s a great solution for feeding my family during the week. Only problem is – sometimes – I end up tossing my leftovers, which is such a waste of food. I try to heat them up but the temperature is never right and the whole thing turns into an even bigger hassle than just creating a meal on the spot or ordering out. What could I do?

I think that a lot of it depends on the storage container. I store my leftovers in a FoldTuk container. It’s bakeware that can be used for storage and reheats really well. I find this particular product convenient and perfect for cooking in bulk. Other than that, I say check the temperature of the microwave or heat leftovers on the stove top, if possible.

Vacuumed sealed foods frozen can be boiled or steamed straight from the freezer. Boiling or steaming carries residual heat and therefore uses less energy to reheat. Think Outside The Microwave Box! Boil vacuumed sealed food, cut the top of the bag off and plate! Good Luck
