Default How can I cook tofu to be the consistancy of meat?

I am having a hard time cooking my tofu properly, it always ends up too soft, I usually just cook it in a pan on my stove...what are some good methods of getting tofu firmer?

First of all make sure it is a firm tofu and not a silken type.
you might perhaps be cutting it into pieces that are too large, thus not cooking through properly before burning on the outside.

Frying is basically how to get your tofu firmer.
