Default Ground beef (or hamburger / steak tartar)

Easiest way to tell what kind of meat you're buying is to look on the package. Most ground beef is one of 3 cuts. Sirloin, Chuck(as in chuck roast) or Round (which left un-ground is often used in chicken fried steak and frequently has gristle marbled through it). Non of these contain "beef parts" that you would not eat on their own. each is a choice cut with Sirloin being the choicest although you can have other cuts (like kc strip or arm roast) ground into hamburger if you visit the butchers in person.
