Default How do you cook veggie meat in order for it to absorb whatever flavor you...

...put into it? I tried to make something very flavorful and it turned out none of the seasoning absorbed into the veggie meat. I seasoned it the same as I do ground beef with seasoning salt, unions and green peppers. So how do I make it to absord the flavors I'm putting into it?
