| I am a former chef from Canada and worked in Jamaica and live in Toronto ON, I would check the Yellow Pages, sometimes a Puerto Rican store will have the ackee in tins, and Portuguese grocery's will have the saltfish, I use codfish but have used a new product up here salt pollack fish, there are mail order site in the US for ackee, here we pay between $6-8.00 a can for them also we have a large Caribbean community here so nothing is hard to find. If not in San Antonio, try Houston. |
