Default Recipe for Italian cassata cake?

I need a really good recipe for a traditional Italian cassata cake. I heard about this restaurant called Corbos in Cleveland, OH and their cassata cake has a really thick custard filling with strawberries in it and I heard it tastes amazing!! Does anyone have a really good recipe or preferably a similar recipe?? Any answers would be appreciated!!

Hi! If you're looking for a good cassata recipe, you can try this "step by step" recipe of cassata siciliana, it's not really difficult to do and it's really good

they also put in vanilla or chocolate pudding and heavy whipped cream besides the strawberries in between the layers.. its really good and then use the rest of the whipped cream for the topping and sides.. enjoy
