Don't worry. nobody has said that was your only and last chance to do a good deed. If I were you, I would be thinking what other good deeds you're going to do tomorrow. Make sure that includes people and animals. I have fed dogs and as wells homeless people before. We all just need to get in the habit of doing it more often.

honestly, i'd probably eat the food myself unless the dog came right up to me then i'd probably throw him a few scraps, same with the kids. If things are as bad for the dogs as you say, then there's a good chance that the dog probably wouldn't find another decent meal for the rest of it's life, which would probably only be another few weeks. And homeless people, no matter what country tend to be able to find amazingly reliable food sources, between dumpsters (actually much better than it sounds), homeless shelters, and handouts from random sympathetic people, especially tourists. In fact, some homeless people can do quite well for themselves, there are beggars out there who make more money than i do, and i vaguely remember a bunch of people who lived under a bridge who had a big screen tv and x-box hooked up to a generator. i may be a terrible person, and more than a little bit greedy, but i'm not gonna give my food away. survival of the fittest baby.

I believe you did the right thing.. because there are so many children who are homeless and need help and only one dog and he may survive because of you.. it needs a whole lot of people to save the hungry children in India and to give to one of them will still let the others starve you give to whoever needs and in this case it was an animal.. an animal has a right to live also .. I would have done the same.. some people don't give at all. if all of us gave a little bit it would make a lot of lives easier for other people.. but we want it to get to the people who really need money. we should all of us help where we can .. but we don't want the government or someone else to cash the money.. I believe you did right.. there should be a fund for the homeless in India and the funds should really get used for the homeless only and then people from all over the world should donate to help them but we need to know that the people in need get the money so that food will be bought for them and that nobody else uses it for their purposes... I think you had a right to give your food to the dog.. a lot of people give nothing.. they think only about themselves and reproach other people... and they do nothing at all.

First of all you question is quite vague and can raise several different questions. Do you live in India? If you don't, giving the food to the mangy dog is okay, by the time that food would get to India the child couldn't eat it anyway, it would be spoiled! Then you say you were "probably" the dogs only hope what for a meal that day? Dogs have ways of scrounging for food. Children don't have that in their nature unless that is what their parents have taught them to do. And if they have, that is a sad thing that needs to change. Children should be taken care of, not digging through trash to find their next meal. Lastly, are you sure EVERYONE is mad at you? Like who? Me? I am not mad at you. I am sure my next door neighbor and his neighbor are not mad at you. Is your mother or your father or your sister or your brother mad at you? If I did have that choice though, such as you may have had, I know all things are God's living creatures, but I would've given my food to a child over an animal. Animals have the know how to find food. Children do not, they expect that their parents will feed them. So no I wouldn't do the same, I would feed a child over a dog any day.
