Yes, I recommend you drive through very quickly with your eyes shut and go
somewhere in Didsbury.
Curry mile my arse. Salmonella slum more like.

Thank you. Attitudes seem to have changed a mite in some years. Either the
folks here or the place - or both.

Thanks for the warnings. Didsbury is further West towards Chester on the
same road, from memory. I shall look at the map and explore.

Perhaps the Rush in Rusholme is cryptic!

Regards

Richard

Didsbury is on the same road, further south, not West. However Didsbury is
not a place to go for a curry. I live in Didsbury, and when I want a curry
I go to Rusholme, and recommend you do the same.

Thank you Steph - any particular place you like?

Richard

These days there are so many, I can't claim to have been in more than a few.
First decide whether any diners want to drink, as some are unlicensed. After
that I personally like to pick one with a sweet display as well, because I
like the Indian sweets too. Honestly, it's fairly random these days. Last
one I had a good meal in was Sanam (unlicensed).

I haven't been there for a couple of years, either, but I recall I
usually ended up being drawn to Shere Khan, because the food was
reliably good, and they grilled the kebabs over charcoal.

Now I have a takeaway which grills kebabs over charcoal, and another
which does excellent curries, both within a one mile radius of where I
live, so there's no real incentive to go to Rusholme for a curry.

Go to Levenshulme or Longsight. The Paradise in Longsight does supurbe
curries very cheaply, if you dont mind plasic seats and formica tables.
