...going down the road apiece.? The silverware is crooked, the chair has a hole and I think the table has one leg shorter than the others. The silverware meets these items as they're traveling down the road and whenever anyone ask where they're going they say down the road a piece. Each item they meet decides to come along. Eventually they find an old house and decide to stay. An old woman comes in to the house and doesn't see the flaws in the items - she fixes them and loves them anyway. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm looking for the title of the book.

QVC Flatware Pattern Question?

3 years ago in the summer of 2006 I got a flatware set for my wedding. It was purchased from QVC and has a pattern with 3 flowers at the tip, I think they are lilies.

Some pieces have been taken from me (long story) and I would love to replace. While certainly not the most expensive set, they are very near and dear to my heart and I would love to have my complete set again.

If you could please let me know if you know the brand and pattern name I would be so greatful! Thank you.

Why does silverware have a powdery film on it after being washed in the dishwasher?

We've had problems with our dishwasher (while it was under warranty). It took 6 service calls to fix the problem. The dishes were not getting clean. That problem is fixed; however, the silverware (pretty decent stuff) gets this film on it. It had done this before, and the repair center told me to run the dishwasher empty with a cup of vinegar, then to run it without anything. That seemed to do the trick. It has started to do it again. I tried the same thing, but it still is not perfectly right. Any ideas why it does this or what I can do about it? By the way, the glasses are sparkling! The other dishes are fine!

Can anyone help me identify these flatware makers?

I have 2 spoons that I got in a box of junk from a rummage sale many years ago. Im having troublee identifying the makers.
On one of them the word TERRACE appears on the handle on the front of the spoon and on the back There is a diamond shape with the Initials R.W. then the word SPECIAL.
On the other one, on the back, there is an oval, kind of laying on its side. At the top of the oval are the initials S.M.F. In the middle of the oval there is a square. To the left of the square Is a W. To the right of the square is an S. At the bottom of the oval is the word ALPACCA.
I have looked on line and havent been able to find any info on these marks/makers. Any help would be cool thanks.
