Default Is it safe to freeze cooked food that was frozen raw?
It might sound a silly question but is it safe for example to defrost raw stewing beef, cook a stew with it and then freeze the cooked stew afterwards (or any other meat?)

It is absolutely safe to freeze cooked foods that were derived from previously frozen raw meats/poultry. Keep in mind, the quicker cooked foods are frozen, the better the end result will be.

I agree with Cynthia. Just be sure to not freeze the food again after you have prepared it after freezing.
