AIR-DRY CLAY

1 c. water
3 c. salt
1 c. cornstarch

Mix water and salt. Place in pan over medium heat. Gradually add cornstarch and heat until mixture thickens into a mass. Cool the clay on a piece of aluminum foil before kneading. Form into creative sculpture, ornaments, etc. Air dry. Hardens to a smooth finish.

Ok here are a few that I have made:

PLAY CLAY
Ingredients:

* 1 cup cornstarch
* 2 cups baking soda
* 1 -1/4 cups water

Directions:

* Combine ingredients into a saucepan.

* Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for about 15 minutes.

* After mixture begins to resemble mashed potatoes, remove from the stove.

* Put the clay in a large bowl and cool to comfortable touch before making shapes and free form creatures.

* Place all your creations on a cooling rack to harden.

Lint Clay

Ingredients::
2 cups firmly packed dryer lint
1/3 cup warm water
6 tablespoons white glue
1 tablespoon clear dishwashing liquid
Food coloring

Directions:
Put lint into a mixing bowl.
Add the other ingredients.
Mix thoroughly. When you can no longer mix, knead with hands until of a uniform texture.

*remember, most clay recipes dry FASTER if you put them int the oven on a low temp for a while
