How long can cooked chicken be kept in the fridge and still be safe to eat?

 How long can cooked chicken be kept in the fridge and still be safe to eat? My husband and I disagree on how long cooked chicken is okay to eat. I only like to keep it for no more than 4 or 5 days, but he says a week. I don't want him to get food poisoning and so I usually toss the food after a few days, but he gets upset. Please provide us with a little guidance. Thank you!  |
