Gold-plated strawberries

Yikes! They're $4.50 for a quart box. I've used about 7 quarts for
two batches of plain strawberry jam (16 jars), 6 jars of
strawberry-rhubarb jam, and 6 jars of strawberry kiwi jam (from the
latest edn. of "So Easy to Preserve" from the U of GA.

The strawberry rhubarb and the strawberry kiwi are pretty thick; the
plain stuff is on the soft side.

I'm going to bed.
