Default Good pound cake recipe?

I am trying to find a good 12 cup bundt pound cake recipe that does not use shortening. I have checked the Internet and nothing appeals to me.

I don't want anything extra fancy here because kids have to eat this.

Thank you.

MARBLE SWIRL POUND CAKE

2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup butter softened
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 eggs
3 1/2 cups cake flour
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup cocoa

About four hours before serving or a day ahead of time: Grease 10 in tube pan. In large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat sugar and butter or margarine until blended. Increase speed to high; beat until light and fluffy. Add flour and remaining ingredients except cocoa; at low speed, beat until well mixed; constantly scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Increase speed to high and beat batter for 4 minutes longer, occassionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Preheat oven to 350. Remove about 2 1/2 cups batter to medium bowl. With wire whish or fork, beat cocoa into batter in medium bowl until well blended. Alternately spoon vanilla and chocolate batters into prepared pan. With large spoon, cut and twist through batters to obtain marbled effect.

Bake 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. With spatula, loosen cake edge from pan. Remove cake from pan: cool completely on rack. Makes 16 servings.

Don't get upset with me please but I am not sure what you are trying to say because, Pound cake and bundt cakes are two different cakes. Here is an idea for you though, Try substituting applesauce for the shortening I do that in a lot of my cakes Another thing I do is I buy the cake mix and use applesauce in that instead of the shortening.

This is a cold oven pound cake.....have had fantastic results and reception by the kiddos!!

6 eggs
2 sticks of butter @ room temp.
3 c. sifted all purpose flour
3 c. sugar
1 pint whipping cream
1-3 Tbsp. vanilla

Cream the butter til a pale yellow, then add the sugar. Beat well until all is incorporated and this mixture is fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time. Make sure the previous egg is completely incorporated before adding the next. Next add the flour, one cup at a time, alternating with the whipping cream. Make sure you start and finish with the flour. Mix only enough to incorporate the flour, don't over mix. Add the vanilla flavoring and mix a bit more.
Pour into a well greased and floured bundt pan (I butter my pan instead of using Crisco because I don't like the flavor of Crisco, and the butter makes a pretty color). Place in a cold oven....bake at 325 for 90 minutes. Don't open the oven door during baking.

This is a fantastic cake. My kids love it when they see I'm making one of these!!
