Bread Storage

How do you store your bread.

I have not been able to find anything more suitable for storing a two-
pound ABM loaf than simply wrapping in plastic wrap. We live in an
extremely dry climate so a bread box is out of the question. Does
anyone know where I can find a suitable-size storage bag.

I just buy the plastic bread bags available in various sizes at King
Arthur.com. I don't want to re-use bags that were purposed for something
else and I couldn't find anything the right size at the supermarket or
restaurant supply. I use the KA bags for bread and then save the used bags
to use for other food storage, especially vegetables that I bring in from
the garden. Depending. . .the bags are big enough to cover any bread dough
that you might want to store in the refrigerator overnight.

Think outside the box ;-) I have 2 large air tight plastic lidded keepers.
We let the bread cool, slice, and store in those. Reusable appeals to us
for environmental reasons.

Cheaper than 100 bags for $19 something for the biggest bags at KA? I can't
get the 2 gal. ziplock. The 2.5 ziploc/Glad bags have disappeared. Wait. .
..I did see either brand 2 or 3 gallon for $5 for 6 bags. . . at WalMart!!!
