Everybody has 20/20 hindsight, but I bet if the guy had peeked under the cover and seen the extent of what was there he might have decided differently. There are several folks locally who keep bees, and if I saw something like that, I'd probably have given one of them a call and asked them to come out and offer an expert opinion. I'd probably have given them the hive, grill and all, just to get it off my porch. I've got kids and dogs... |

Bees get a bad rap, they are actually pretty gentle unless they are forced to defend themselves. Around here if you have an unwanted hive, beekeepers will come out and get them.
